Mr. Clarke has been involved in alternative dispute resolution for most of his professional life. He began arbitrating labor grievances in about 1973 while teaching at the University of Alabama Law School. In 1976 he left teaching and continued his law practice and work as an arbitrator until beginning a full-time ADR practice in 1981. As a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Task Force Committee, Mr. Clarke served as the principal draftsperson for the Alabama Code of Ethics for Mediators which was adopted by the Alabama Supreme Court effective March, 1996. |
