Mr. Rubin has personally mediated and arbitrated several thousand diverse ADR cases, including space satellite disputes, cigar band infringements, intergenerational family business disputes, class actions and occasionally who gets the stuffed bat. He enjoys unique and challenging conflicts. One of Mr. Rubins most gratifying experiences was to assist in the formation and creation of the ADR response to Hurricane Andrews devastation in South Florida in 1992. Again in 2004 and 2005 he helped design the States response to six hurricanes affecting his home state. Mr. Rubin also facilitated the Childrens Submit in South Florida, a conclave of over 200 regional and community groups and leaders meeting to deal with issues and crises of children and families. Mr. Rubin and his firm, Mediation Services, Inc., have trained over 6,000 professionals in ADR, including two former Florida Supreme Court Justices and a former president of the American Bar Association (ABA). Nationally, he has trained for the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Navy, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the ABA, and The Florida Bar. Internationally, he has trained in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, St. Thomas of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Roma, Italy. |
