American Arbitration Association Arbitrator since 1976 and Certified Mediator since 1994. AAA panelist: Consumer, Commercial, Construction, Large and Complex and Cybersettle Mediation Program. Currently serving as a Mediator in the Mississippi Mediation Program for Hurricane Katrina Victims, adopted by the Mississippi Department of Insurance and administered by AAA, and as a Mediator in the Federal Mediation Program as ordered by Sr. Judge L.T. Senter, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, mediating more than 200 cases to date.

Selected as a neutral in the New York Life Insurance Company, Transamerica Life Insurance Company and Prudential Life Insurance Company nationwide class action cases. Selected as one of five mediators involving over 12,000 Silica cases arising out of multi-district litigation pending before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and in several state courts. Approved on both Northern and Southern United States Federal District Court Neutrals Lists in Mississippi; arbitrated/mediated more than 1,000 cases since 1976. Amounts have varied from thousands to millions of dollars involving a multiplicity of issues, legal and equitable. Arbitrated cases throughout Mississippi and in Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

Recipient of AAA 2006 Outstanding Director Award given in recognition for work involving Hurricane Katrina mediations.

Background

Served on a limited basis as Circuit Court Judge, Master in Chancery Court, Special Referee and Examiner in Bankruptcy. Captain, Judge Advocate General's Corps, United States Army Reserve (1969-1976).
