In addition to his trial practice, Sam spends significant time mediating and arbitrating cases. He also works with organizations and individuals to facilitate and address other types of conflict management in corporate, not-for-profit and religious settings. He coaches executives and boards on intra-company conflict and communication issues.

Sam teaches and writes about negotiation skills and mediation. He has guest lectured at the Indiana University School of Law, the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs and he is co-author of The Indiana Handbook on Commercial Litigation. He has taught and written for numerous continuing education seminars and lectures and presents seminars to public and private groups, including other lawyers, in the areas of negotiation, mediation and conflict management. He is a registered civil and family law mediator in Indiana.

Background
Sam is a partner practicing primarily in the areas of trial work, mediation, arbitration and facilitation. He represents individuals and companies in commercial litigation. He also represents people in injury cases involving death, brain injuries and other serious impairments. Sam practices in state and federal court, and has represented clients in several states outside of Indiana. Sam has served on the boards of directors of public, private and not-for-profit organizations, including the Community Conflict Resolution Project, the Salvation Army, Monroe County Youth Shelter, Comprehensive Financial Consultants, Bloomington Area Arts Council and Monroe County Youth for Christ.
