Jim began practicing law in 1980. He started mediating in the early 1990s and, in 1995, became certified as a Circuit Civil Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court, as well as a certified mediator before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

In March 2006, he established Nulman Mediation Services, Inc., a practice dedicated solely to providing mediation services. Today, Jim mediates more than 200 cases a year, covering a wide range of civil disputes from business disputes & dissolutions, class actions, and contract disputes and construction disputes, to copyright & trademark disputes, eminent domain, employment discrimination, medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death and real estate disputes.

Jim’s mediation philosophy is very simple: all civil disputes are subject to being settled and, with patience, persistence and follow up, the vast majority are settled. He is known for his “hands on,” evaluative approach that has led to his reputation as an effective mediator who helps settle the vast majority of cases in which he is involved.
