April Y. Walker, Esq.

A native Floridian, April Walker began her litigation career in 1997 at Carlton Fields in Tampa, Florida.  She left the firm in 1998 to clerk for the late Stephan P. Mickle, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Florida.  Years later, in 2008, April returned to Carlton Fields in Orlando, Florida where she worked as an associate litigation attorney and was elected to shareholder in 2015.  Her practice focuses included business and commercial, employment, loan servicing and consumer financial services litigation.

While she thoroughly enjoyed working with clients to develop and implement litigation strategies, April determined to shift the focus of her work to facilitating the resolution of disputes.  April joined UWWM in 2018, the same year she was recognized by peers as a Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite in Commercial Litigation.  April brings to her ADR practice significant state and federal court experience, advanced mediation training, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and enthusiasm for the field of conflict resolution.
