Asher Tilchin has practiced in the areas of real estate and commercial, transactional and litigation law for more than fifty years. Since 1991, he has successfully mediated numerous cases, many emanating from court annexed programs. His mediations have included complex and multi-party cases, including class actions; closely held business entity disputes including family owned businesses; and land use disputes involving municipalities and developers. He has also successfully served as a mediator advocate for disputants engaged in litigation and arbitration. Currently, he devotes most of his professional time to mediation. Tilchin is also engaged in the area of professionalism and ethics. He has written and lectured on real estate law; ADR; and ethics and professionalism. He has lectured at the University of Michigan Law School on professionalism, ethics, and legal malpractice. Tilchin presents frequently at seminars on ADR.
