David Zacks gets results. He believes in early intervention. He specializes in resolving disputes using mediation techniques he has learned and developed over the past 45 years as a veteran trial lawyer and a neutral.
The Best Lawyers in America© named him “Atlanta Lawyer of the Year” in Mediation (2013), and recognized him for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Health Care Law and Personal Injury Litigation in 2014.
David took an early lead using mediation, starting in the early 1990s. One of his largest cases was Cobell, et al v. Secretary of Interior, et al. He was principal ne;tiator on behalf of 500,000 Native Americans during a critical phase of the litigation. The case resolved in 2012 for $3.4 billion.

David is a panel member at Henning Mediation & Arbitration Service, and a retired partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP.
He is fortunate to have served as national chair of the American Cancer Society, the largest not-for-profit in the country and one of the oldest, largest and most effective voluntary health agencies in the world. He has defended international companies in “bet the company” cases, and he has served as lead counsel for plaintiffs in multimillion dollar catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
David is a past member of the Kilpatrick Townsend executive committee. Prior to joining the firm, David served as a Captain and certified military judge in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Army where he successfully defended a captain in a My Lai related trial.
