About

Allen Schreiber’s value as a neutral is rooted in his extensive and balanced trial experience, representing plaintiffs and defendants.

On the defense side, Allen is a former member of the International Association of Defense counsel (IADC) and has handled high-profile insurance matters including D&O and professional liability, excess policies, and disputes involving trucking, aviation, employment, and coverage.

His plaintiff experience includes co-lead counsel in a nationwide $49 million case, Morgan v. Family Dollar, that went to the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2020 a federal court preliminarily approved a $25 million result against Sturm Foods in a class action under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

In 1995, Allen began mediating disputes involving business, malpractice, products liability, personal injury, fraud, general commercial liability, aviation, trucking, municipal liability, education, and employment.

Allen has served on AAA’s consumer, employment and commercial arbitration panels. He is a Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers ADR honoree and Best Lawyers Birmingham “Lawyer of the Year” in Arbitration (2019) and Mediation (2017).
