James E. Reid

Jim was the Senior and Managing Shareholder of Greene & Reid, PLLC in Syracuse New York. Jim has tried many cases, both civil and criminal, across New York State. He has been honored by his peers by being selected to Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, ABOTA, and had achieved the Martindale-Hubbell AV Rating (Preeminent). In addition to his private legal practice, Jim served the people of the State of New York as an Assistant District Attorney for Wayne County for over two decades, and was a Judge Advocate (Trial Counsel) in the United States Marine Corps.

Active in many Bar Associations, Jim is a Past Chair of the General Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association and a past member of its House of Delegates; is a former Director of the Onondaga County Bar Association; and a past president of the New York State Academy of Trial Attorneys. He is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars. He is a graduate of Utica College, where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees and Investment Committee for 9 years, Syracuse University College of Law, where he was an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Trial Practice for over 25 years and Stetson University College of Law, where he earned an LLM in Advocacy, with distinction, in 2015. In October of 2013, Jim was honored by being elected to membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
