About

Mr. Sherrill currently serves as senior litigation partner in the Litigation/Dispute Resolution Department of the Atlanta office of Seyfarth Shaw, a 720 lawyer national law firm with ten offices based in Chica;, and he is the Chair of the Firm’s National ADR Group.

Mr. Sherrill has 40 years of experience in the resolving of all types of civil disputes through ne;tiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation at the trial and appellate level.

A significant part of his practice over the last 25 years has involved acting as a mediator and arbitrator and as an advocate representing clients in all forms of ADR. He has served as a mediator in over 500 cases.

Background

From 1979 to 2000, Mr. Sherrill was the Chairman of the Litigation/Dispute Resolution Department of McCullough Sherrill, LLP, a 50 lawyer general practice firm based in Atlanta. Active as Member of AAA Commercial and Construction Panels of arbitrators and mediators since 1986, the Georgia Panel of Distinguished Neutrals for the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution, and as an independent arbitrator and mediator. Member, AAA Large Complex Case Program Panel for Southeastern United States since the inception of the program in 1993. Served as member of AAA/U.S. Olympic Committee Arbitration Panels for the 1996 (Atlanta), 1998 (Nogano), 2000 (Sydney), and 2004 (Athens) Olympic Games. Appointed as arbitrator, mediator, and special master by various courts (state and federal) since 1980. Served as Administrative Hearing Office for State Health Planning Review Board (Chairman, 1980-82) and Chief Hearing Officer for Georgia Real Estate Commission (1976-87).
