As one of the busiest mediators in the United States, Mr. Mullin mediates approximately 225 disputes per year, mediating five and sometimes six days a week. Over 90% of his mediated cases to date have resulted in a successful settlement. Mr. Mullin has mediated civil disputes in virtually all areas of the law, including class actions, FLSA collective actions, CERCLA disputes, FELA disputes, employment disputes, professional negligence disputes, business and commercial disputes, insurance coverage and catastrophic personal injury disputes. He regularly resolves multi-million dollar disputes and has successfully resolved a $3 billion dispute. Mr. Mullin has mediated disputes in numerous states across the country. He recently completed his 5,000th mediation, an extraordinary achievement reached by very few mediators.
Following decades as a trial lawyer in which he was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates, the International Association of Defense Counsel, and the Litigation Counsel of America, Mr. Mullin commenced his career as a mediator in 2000. Since that time, he has mediated over 5,000 disputes across the United States. His mediation practice has been recognized by Best Lawyers, Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, and other organizations. He has been inducted into the International Academy of Mediators, the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, and certified by the American Academy of ADR Attorneys. He has been recognized repeatedly by the International Who’s Who of Commercial Mediators/Who’s Who Legal: Mediation. He is a founding member of the Nebraska Mediation Association, and has served as the chair of the ADR Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association. Mr. Mullin has demonstrated his commitment to his profession and to his community by serving on numerous law-related and civic boards and committees. He has previously served as President of the Omaha Bar Association and since 1993 has been an elected member of the Nebraska State Bar Association House of Delegates. He serves on the alumni advisory board of Creighton University School of Law and has previously served as President of the board of directors of the Omaha Children’s Museum. Mr. Mullin was awarded the Richard Shepard Arnold Award for Distinguished Service from the Eighth Circuit Bar Association at the Eighth Circuit Judicial Conference.
