The ACCTM provides education, training, certification and resources to civil trial mediators across the United States. Membership in ACCTM is open to professional mediators and arbitrators who have significant experience.  The organization offers advanced certification programs and continuing education.  ACCTM publishes standards of conduct and best practices for alternative dispute resolution professionals.
