About

Mr. Waugh’s practice focuses on surety law, construction law, and construction mediation. He was vice-chair of the American Bar Association’s Fidelity & Surety Law Committee, and member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee.

Background

He coauthored the chapter “Bonds – Bid, Performance, Payment” for the Kansas Construction Law Manual published by the Kansas Bar Association. He has presented seminars on numerous construction law issues, primarily from the surety’s perspective.

A Topeka (KS) native. Bruce earned a B.S. in Architecture at the University of Kansas. He graduated with Distinction from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law in 1977, where he was a member of the Bench and Robe Society, on the Board of Editors of the Urban Lawyer and the UMKC Law Review. He completed the Kansas Bar Association Civil Practice Mediation Training in 1996.
